Mark is our Managing Director. He founded the company in 1985 and has unrivalled experience in dealing with the ever demanding needs of our clients. From initial contact all the way through to fully specified quotations and ultimately the end product, Mark is hands-on to ensure that you, our partners, get exactly what you want - when you want it. Mark also leads our Research & Development team, who have the unique ability to offer ingenious solutions to situations that leave other scratching their head!

Mark, in pushing the company forward, likes to think of himself as the accelerator in a motor car - without it, it's going nowhere. But if you ask the team, with some of the projects he takes on, it sometimes feels like he's left the hand-brake on or gone in to reverse. Exports are now high on his agenda, no doubt he will be selling sand to the Arabs.

One of Mark's favorite phrases is 'our only limitation is your imagination' - something that has become the ethos of our business mentality. All of the team at Midas, led by Mark, strive to push the boundaries of technology beyond the limits ever known before, to offer a service that no other company can give.

He was a time served fabricator with London Brick Company, moving to a nuclear and medical engineering company where he was promoted to Quality Assurance Inspector, on MRi scanners, the Neutron accelerator at Rutherford Appleton laboratory Harwell, ground full flight test facilities for Phantom jets with the USAF. He then went to a rubber to metal bonding company as Quality Engineer responsible for component inspection for the MOD and motor industry, accelerated laboratory testing and statistical process control. Before starting his own business he was also in the Territorial Army Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers SAS (Saturdays and Sundays)

Mark was Vice Chairman of Business Link Peterborough for 5 years and was a trustee of Railworld Peterborough for 5 years. He is a member of the Institute of Water, the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committees business review panel for The South East and Anglia regions and has been since the late 80's and was on the British Stainless Associations marketing review panel when they relaunched to there current branding and service.
